Presenting Your Science Project
Wednesday, September 23rd, 2009If you have spent a lot of time preparing your science project then you will want to present it in a way that makes everyone take notice. You can do this by adding color, making your presentation a little different or even spotlighting it. Either way, it is easy to do and fun to incorporate.
Your presentation should stand out from all the rest, so why not make it stand up? Instead of setting your display flat on the table, why not add a couple bricks under a table cloth and put your project on top? This will raise your project several inches above the projects around it and immediately gain it some attention.
Don’t be afraid of color. A dark, solid board behind your busy project can help to calm down the scene so the judges can focus on the project more. A bright color that pops will help it stand out if you are using only earth tone colors in the actual project. This is a quick and inexpensive way to help your project stand out.
If all else fails, put the spotlight on your project. There are spotlights made specifically for projects, and they can be placed on the wall directly behind your project. They are easily removed and do not leave any markings on the wall either. These are available for order online and are a quick way to draw attention to your project.
Whether you use bricks, color or spotlights to draw attention to your project, it is sure to be a success. Remember that everything can be shopped for online, saving you and your parents one trip to the store for supplies. They will come right to your door step, allowing you more time for planning your perfect project presentation.
